I entered the below image in a portrait contest and it won! Super psyched because the prize is a sample album that I am now going to offer.
I love when my weddings get press!
Shelby and John’s wedding certainly deserves some attention. Great looking couple, awesome and dramatic backdrop and a wedding filled with laughter and even some tears.
Merci New York is a special blog that I recently discovered that celebrates all things fashionable, elegant and of course New York (even when the wedding is in NJ)! Swing by their blog to read the full story.
One of my favorites from their day:
Marta and David rocked Halloween at The Palace at Somerset. Check out the ’stache, nose and glasses get-up below:

I dont think I ever blogged these. Tina at Oh So Fab put these awesome table-tops together at one of my favorite venues: NJ’s Pleasantdale Chateau. Must also give credit to the beautiful calligraphy by Laura Hooper calligraphy and awesome floral design by Cindy

Such an awesome couple! I loved spending time with them during their engagement session (see below) and I enjoyed hanging with them on their wedding day even more. Lisa and Jon filled studio 450 with such a sense of class, style and rock n roll…I felt honored to be there with them.
Now I don’t know much about shoes, but I do know Lisa rocked her shoes and the two of them rocked their converse!
Do you think I can get away with black leather converse that say “photographer?” Can I pull that off at a wedding? Okay, don’t answer that. : )
Thanks to SCOTT for second shooting!
Slideshow served SEXY

Kaitlin and Michael must have pulled some MAJOR wedding strings. Maybe all the wedding g-ds were looking favorably on her because she is a blogger for 201 Bride. Their wedding was at NJ’s own Liberty House which can probably claim the best views in NYC (right along with Bubby’s in BKLYN). On top of that, the weather was perfect, the light was awesome AND somehow, they managed to have fireworks go off over the NYC skyline in the middle of their reception.
It was my pleasure to work with David as my second shooter, who got some of the great pics below.
Kaitlin and Michael, thanks for being so agreeable and willing!!!

Happy New Year!
I wanted my first blog post of 2010 to be of Caelah and Eli. I loved their spirit. I showed up to beautiful Belle Mer in Newport, RI and it was raining…lots! But Caelah never stopped smiling and one of the first things she said was, “If there is any chance of shooting outside, I want to go for it!” Music to my ears. : ) She wasn’t overly concerned with her hair, or with her dress getting a little dirty. And wouldn’t you know, as soon as the portraits were scheduled, it stopped raining. It started again and stopped and started, but never once did they give up. We shot mostly in drizziling/spitting rain. The result (in my humble opinion)? Great pics! A note to all future brides (mine and others): no risk, no reward!
Thanks to Kristen for second shooting!

What do you get when one of the hottest Wedding Design Teams Oh So Fab joins forces with a brand new venue in Long Island City? Studio Square’s official launch party! I loved this venue and am chomping at the bit to start working there. It had an amazing metro chic look with great outdoor options and a floor plan that can let any vision come to life. Tina and her team never cease to amaze–they transformed the space to make the most of the limitless potential Studio Square has to offer. Located in the heart of Long Island City, I know I’m going to love taking my couples out in to the streets for an urban shoot out before an upscale reception in this super cool venue.
If you haven’t booked a venue, DEFINITELY go check it out.
On a personal note, a big congrats to Amy and Melissa :)

I love to get published..yeah I said it! It’s a total thrill, for the couple, myself and well my mother.
So when The Knot chose to publish two of my weddings in their current issues and WORLD FAMOUS Colin Cowie features not one or two or three but FOUR of my weddings on his website…its a trip to the land of ego..
Congrats to Liz and Andy, Cathy and Daniel, Ayelet and Ari, Annie and Tony, Natasha and James and Ira and George!
