I asked a group of friends (some photographers, some not) to go through all my wedding/engagement blog posts from 2008 and tell me which were their favorite images from the year. Below are the top pics. Now I could not personally choose as I really love images from each and every shoot this year. 2008 was just great that way.
So here’s the contest…the image which gets the most votes via the comment section below this post will be awarded a deluxe 20×30 fine art Canvas of the image to hang in their home. To make sure everyone has a chance to weigh in, I’ll keep this post on the top of my blog for one month, until March 23rd.
So please let me know which one you respond to the most. Leave a comment along with the image number.
Thanks for looking and leave a comment!!!
#1 – Claudia and Jeff. This was one of the last shots of the shoot. I was shooting in the other direction and noticed the sun dipping over the NYC skyline. Took about three frames and then the sun was gone.

#2 – Farrah and Josh. I love intimate candid images like this(they didn’t know I took the image until they saw the proofs). Angel Oresanz offers an amazing backdrop!

#3 – Gayle and Henry. What a wonderful, sweet wedding at the famous Blue Hill at Stone Barns. The restaurant is on a working farm. You can’t fake laughter like this. As Henry always says..Plush.

#4 – Anne and Alex. A quiet moment between shots are almost always the best. This was in the streets of NYC but really could have been anywhere.

#5 – Joon and Michelle. Sheer, unbridled joy!!!!

#6 – Ira and George. They have such a quiet way about them. I love this portrait because it speaks volumes about how they relate to each other.

#7 – Leah and Michael. We ran to where the ceremony took place when everyone else was at the cocktail hour. I love how COOL they both look.
Brangelina have nothing on them!

#8 – Jenny and Josiah. This is about as New York as it gets. Shot in a tunnel in Central Park.

#9 – Jen and Rob. I love how unconventional this image is. Its so very much a portrait of them but not in the classic sense.

#10 – Melissa and Matt. I don’t know of anything else that says NYC more than a cab. Thanks to the cab driver who lets us borrow his ride!

#11 – Jen and Pete. We headed down to Coney Island and got amazing images like this all day long!

#12 Ayelet and Ari. They are as sweet and lovable and affectionate as the image conveys. Ari rocked the guitar during the shoot.

#13 Mei and Gene. One of my favorite things to do is shoot in the streets of the city. Gene was practicing for the lift over the door step.

#14 Natasha and James. Beautiful and quiet. I would want this image for my wall!
