Jen’s laugh is infectious. She was smiling when I arrived and she was smiling when I left. I know that a wedding can be very stressful to plan and there is so much that goes into making it all look seamless. That is why I was so happy to see her and Alan having SUCH a good time. I have to admit that their band The Rhythm Shop was so good that I almost had to put down my gear and start shaking it on the dance floor.

What a difference a couple of months make! Jen and Rob almost froze their tush’s off during their engagement shoot.
Well they were blessed with wonderful weather for their wedding at one of my new favorite places to shoot: New York Botanical Gardens.
Stunning bride + Handsome groom = EASY DAY.

Back in my acting days, I had many an awful, terrible, stinky, mind-numbing survival gig. One was working in an office, which all but did me in. I always remember these really lame-ass motivation posters that they would have hanging around the office. In big bold letters words like “SUCCESS” or “DREAM” would accompany some really boring stock image of a sailboat or a horizon (I’m sure many of you have come across these kind of posters in offices) with some terrible copy that would end with phrases like “reach for the horizon” or “sail to your dreams.”
Well, when I saw this image taken by my good friend SCOTT at Annie and Tony’s wedding, I thought now this is a poster I could hang on my wall. I remember being on the Jersey Shore that day, documenting their wedding, feeling like I could take a big deep breath and pat myself on the back because I was finally following my bliss…
Acting was such a hard road, filled with many more downs than ups and the actual acting gigs far and few between. I feel so grateful that now I can go out there every weekend and do my thing…

I am still looking for that bus in Central Park (Private Joke)

What an AMAZING wedding! Of course Oheka is stunning. but what made the wedding so special was they way Ayelet and Ari interact, a true team every step of the way. The reception should have really been called a “Dance” because it was non-stop dancing the entire night, bookended by some of the most touching speeches I have ever heard.
Big thanks to Scott for coming out and shooting with me again.
Here is the slideshow and of course check out some of my favorites below:

It rained, it poured, they made out…

Mei and Gene just moved to the left coast so I’m glad I was able to meet up with them for a bit before New York loses another sweet couple to the sun and fun of California (sigh). Of course they’re back for their wedding which I can’t wait for at The Ligthhouse

Ya know, for a couple that was worried about being out and about in front of everyone taking portraits, Annie and Alex sure can take a picture! The two of them had a classic energy and a wonderful intimacy that came through really well in the images.
Their wedding was at Battery Gardens (can you ask for a better location???). Dazzling Affairs did a great job planning and keeping everything running smoothly and on time. Once again I had the privilege of working with the super talented make-up artist to the stars Laura. How do I know so much about make-up you ask slightly concerned? Well in my non-wedding photography, I work with make-up artists all the time and I can tell the good from the great. Also, I had the pleasure of working with Reel Time Wedding Video for the first time. And last but certainly not least, a big thanks for Roman coming out to shoot with me.
So hard to choose:
