After seeing Marco’s close-up magic twice – I am convinced it would be the perfect addition to the cocktail hour of a wedding. I know he already does this work a lot, so I thought I would share with all of you. Right now he has a very cool interactive magic trick/webisode going on at his website:
For the life of me, I can’t figure out how he does his tricks. It has KEPT ME UP AT NIGHT!

I friggin’ LOVED U2 – 3D. I was rocking it out so much that the 3D glasses kept sliding down my nose (hmm, I am sure there is a joke in here somewhere)! Go check it out while it is still in theater’s.
By the way, I am under no illusion that you read my blog for movie reviews, thanks for the indulgence! I have been working on a ton of children shoots shoots and will share soon. Also, I never got around to posting some “best of” 2007 images and I have a fashion bridal shoot coming up in one of my favorite places on earth. So lots to come soon(ish).
“Where the streets have no name….”
It’s always an honor when peers in my industry respond to my work and want to find out a little bit more about me.
I am currently spotlighted on the one and only Jason Domingues blog. He is not only a great photographer in his own right, but also heavily involved in the Trash the Dress scene/movement. What is that you ask? To sum it up, it’s a concept that seeks to do away with staid, cheesy wedding photography (as my 3-year-old would say, “Blech!”) by giving full creative freedom to the wedding photographer. The results are awesome–wedding photography as art.
Head on over to read all about, well, me.
Erin and Chris were married at one of my FAVORITE venues The Foundry. It has the aesthetic of an amazing high-end venue in a very urban setting. My favorite! We met up pre-ceremony to shoot around the neighborhood for awhile.
Their ceremony was beautiful and quite moving as they had a touching candle-lighting ceremony that spread through all the guests in memory of Erin’s mother.
The party rocked with about a 15-person band that almost outnumbered the guests!
Did I mention the dog?:

I was just reading in the The New York Times that many people are hiring photographers to take photographs of their actual wedding proposal. So I thought, “I want to do that!” If you or someone you know is getting engaged (maybe on Valentine’s Day?) and they would like me to document this event (in a very stealth-like fashion), please contact me at danny@dannyweissphoto.com. I would love to do this–as such this would be 100% FREE.
Pass it on!
