Charlie

November 25th, 2007

When Tina, the owner of the great planning/designing team of Oh So Fab asked me to swing by her place and photograph her son Charlie, I jumped at the chance. I had already taken pics of him at his first year birthday party last year. First off I knew he is super cute and would make my job very easy! Secondly, as I am about to open the portrait side of my business, I knew Charlie would be a great addition.

Needless to say, he is soooooooo much bigger then last year. Some of my favorites:

Jenny and Josiah, THE MET

November 19th, 2007

Photograph at a museum? Heck yeah! I loved it when Jenny said ” I think I would like to do our engagement shoot at The MET.” We met down there last week and had to climb over the set of the mega hit  TV show (although I never heard of it) Gossip Girl.

We spent a couple of ours roaming (dodging security guards) and grabbing images as we went. After that we hit Central Park and got some killer late afternoon photographs before the sun set.

Can’t wait for their wedding next year because both Jenny and Josiah are stylish and seem to have a real vision for what they want out of their wedding. Also because once again I get to work the ever awesome Day of Coordinator/Wedding planner Christine of Exquisite Affairs.

Check ‘em out:

Sarah and Andy, RI

November 16th, 2007

Sarah is part of one of my favorite wedding planner/design teams Oh So Fab so I was thrilled and honored when she asked me to be her wedding photographer.

When we met up for their engagement shoot and got amazing stuff, I knew that the wedding day was going to be easy breezy.

So I walked into the Hotel Viking where Sarah was getting married and she actually shed a tear for me. How sweet is that??? Mom, Dad, sure, but the wedding photographer? Nice.

Andy and Sarah picked an absolutely exquisite venue up in Newport Beach, RI. The Bel Mer was a perfect venue for Sarah’s vision and she totally, 100% pulled it off. She did an AMAZING JOB.

Jannine and Jorge were all smiles when we met down by NYU last week. It was one of those perfect late fall days with just enough bite in the air to keep us all on our toes. We started off by the park and then just wondered around.

I have to say, I think engagement shoots are really great to do. First you get some amazing images to hang on your walls and maybe show on your wedding day. But just as important, after shooting together for a couple of hours, when I show up on your wedding day we are all fast friends and its much easier to get into the groove of the day…

Glykeria and John, LIC

November 1st, 2007

Glykeria, John and I became fast friends. I did their engagement shoot and then 10 days later their wedding…that’s a first.

Gylkeria made sure that we had enough time for portraits (note to future brides: THIS IS SO IMPORTANT), In fact, it was so important to her that she moved up her ceremony by an hour. The result was shooting in a very cool location and not feeling rushed at all. We shot all of the portraits in and around PS 1 and if I do say so myself got some pretty kick ass stuff.

Then off to Sand Castle for their reception where I had the pleasure of working once again with the very talented Ray of Timless Treasure Video..whose works really BLOWS ME AWAY!!!
