What I loved about Leah and Josh’s wedding was that is was full of emotion. Laughing, crying, love etc… I also thought that their wedding hit the perfect tone of understated elegance. They were married at the Harold Pratt House in Manhattan. A great big shout out to one of my favorite caterer/planners Jessica at Naturally Delicious.

We had so much fun shooting around the city that I could post tons more, but didn’t want to overwhelm Leah and Josh:

I met up with Allison and Gary during their whirlwind NY tour to finalize their wedding plans(they live in San Fran). They are getting married next month at the Waters Edge in Long Island City.

While we only had a short time together, it was enough to hang, get to know each other better and of course get excited for their wedding!

Eric and Teresa are super sweet. From the first time I met them, I could tell that they were very much in love. They were  clear that they wanted a wedding that was going to be a lot of fun and  one that would honor their cultures.  One of the ways they did this was to play lots of  music! Salsa, Reggaeton and hip-hop.

I remember leaving the wedding thinking “Eric and Teresa sure can move!” I tried out a couple of the steps myself(in a dark corner of the room), but with me it just looked wrong :)

I was happy to bear witness to this great day:

I will be out of the office traveling to an away wedding this weekend. I will have limited access to email and voicemail.  All emails and messages will be returned by Tuesday.

In this digital age, its fun to pull out an old-fashioned film camera and play. Taken during a family vacation this year with a HOLGA

I knew Anica and Benny were going to have a rocking party when I met them. Co-owners of a Tattoo parlour how could they not?

They had their ceremony and reception at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle. I had a blast hanging first with Benny and his crew and then spending some time with Anica and her girlfriends. There ceremony was heartfelt, funny and touching. And then they danced the rest of the night away. I busted a move or two myself, but thankfully no one noticed :0

I just got notice that this image of Dan and Lauren’s engagement shoot was chosen as a “favorite” by the judges of a contest that I entered. Yay me, Dan and Lauren!

The prize? A super big print of this image to hang on my studio walls (now I just have to go out and get a studio…)

Rachel and Evan were downright adorable to photograph. They just laughed like young school kids in love. They actually reminded me of what my wife and I would be like  if we were having our pictures taken.

We lucked out with GREAT light and just a perfect day. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding at the very cool Tappan Hill in December.
