Elizabeth and Ted got super lucky. The forecast called for rain and I was pretty sure it was coming.  But like it always seems to happen right before a ceremony, the sun peaked out and the rest of the day was awesome.

They were married at the West Mount Country Club in New Jersey. I had the distinct pleasure of having New Jersey “Rock Star” Desiree come and shoot around with me for a while.

Elizabeth and Ted are basking in the sun in Hawaii right now and it was all I could do not to ask them if I could join them (ok, not really). But a week in Hawaii sounds GREAT right about now.

In terms of compliments, I am not sure what can be higher than when a wedding planner hires you to photograph her wedding. Sarah is part of the uber popular team over at Oh So Fab, whom I always love working with (probably because they dig my dancing while I am taking photographs at the receptions :0). Sarah is having a beautiful wedding at the Bel Mer in Newport, RI. To say I can’t wait is an understatement. This city boy needs some fresh air!

I met Sarah and Andy at their alma mater for their engagement shoot. We spent most of the time on campus but at the end wandered off to the scene of the crime, where they first met…think college and beer… :)

A photographer friend, Anges Lopez out of Florida tagged me in a on-going game of Blog Tag. My job is to post eight things about myself and post 8 other photographers who I have tagged.

Now I NEVER normally do this but…I figured I would give it a whirl. Ok I am going to type the first 8 things about me that pop into my mind..no editing:

1. I love Soy Ice Cream (allergic to milk)
2. Cotton balls..the type that come in a vitamin bottle…creep me out!
3. I am perfectly content doing absolutely nothing for hours.
4. I was a lifeguard on the beach for 8 summers. I probably had about 50 rescues.
5. I love “love.” Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
6. I used to be an actor. My dog growing up was an actor too. He was WAY more successful then I ever was. Once his agent called and I asked her if she would consider representing a human (me). She said no :(
7. I think I have ESP. I once had a “feeling” that I was going to bump into someone..and then I did. Does that count?
8. I am an only child

I just watched one of my favorite Seinfeld episodes. It’s the one where Kramer becomes the MovieFone guy and George’s girlfriend, Susan, starts to hang out with Elaine and Jerry. George keeps screaming that “two worlds are colliding!!!” It had me rolling last night.

Thought I would share…

I fell in love with Shelter Island when I made the trip out for Dana and Jason’s wedding. What a wonderful place to vacation and of course to get married. It seems to me to be New York’s answer to Martha’s Vineyard.

Dana’s family have had a home on the island for three generations ( feel like adopting me so I can come visit :) )? They were  married at a very quaint chapel and had a beautiful reception at THE PRIDWIN.

The weather was on their side all day with a stunning sunset and beautiful soft light during the portraits. Check ‘em out:
