Ummmmmmmmm

May 29th, 2007

I have been allergic to milk my whole life. So as far as I am concerned everyone else is coming to the whole “soy milk” thing a little late. I never cared about not being able to have pizza, cheese or really any other dairy product. The only thing I was always secretly jealous of was ICE CREAM.

Well I am jealous no more! Thank you SOY DELICIOUS

I am loving (addicted) to this stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!:

Sarabeth and Bart were very clear they did not want a typical, cookie cutter wedding. When I walked in and saw Sarabeth’s funky blue shoes(see below), I knew she was my kind of client. She looked absolutely stunning in her Vera Wang dress.

They had a very cool reception in one of New York’s most famous venues the China Club. We had a whole plan to shoot around the city, but due to a little rain we shot around Grand Central Station instead. The good news is we got some great stuff there.

They are off for two weeks globe trotting to Thailand among other places.

Just some of my faves:

A big thanks to Charlie Palmer’s Metrazur for letting us shoot by their resturant in Grand Central:

Long Island City

May 16th, 2007

Sarah Kay and Matt were up for anything. We settled on LIC, home of the famous PS1 museum, as a cool place to meet up due to all its funky graffiti. What we didn’t plan on doing, but I am so glad we did, was head over to a funky “Sculpture Garden” nearby:

Kate, Derick and BKLYN

May 12th, 2007

Kate and Derick are moving to Durham right after their wedding next month. So we set out to make their Engagement shoot serve as a love letter to their youth spent in Brooklyn.

On another note, I met Kate and Derick right when I moved back to NYC from Los Angeles, about a year ago. I can NOT believe that their wedding is next month, time really does fly and keeps getting faster the older you get.

We went real “urban” so hold on tight:fenceblog1.jpgsunkissblog1.jpgbybykissblog.jpghairblog1.jpgtilftshiftblog1.jpgkissblog1.jpgskylitblog1.jpgneckblog1.jpg

Fred and Jenny had such a special wedding. There was such a spontaneous erruption of applause, hoots and hollers when their mininster announced them “man and wife”– I actually had chills.

Once again, I worked at the very cool THE FOUNDRY in Long Island City. Fred and Jenny lucked out with perfect light and perfect timing…we were able to do their portraits on The Foundry rooftop as the sun was setting.

A big thank you to Henry Shoots who came out and shot with me.

I put together a slideshow of my favorite images HERE. But I also wanted to post a few of my faves:
